Kurmond Homes 9 Step Building Process
1. Quotation Preparation
After requesting a quotation our Estimator will prepare an itemised quotation for your consideration and approval.
2. Acceptance of the Quotation
On presentation of your quotation, we will request your initial deposit and finalise any variations that you may have. From the date of your deposit, your quotation provides a tender period of 120 days – protecting you from any increases in the basic price of your home whilst the steps between here and contract signing take place.
3. Preparation of Plans
A registered Surveyor will visit your site and determine site levels. Our drafting department will then prepare architectural plans including your requested variations. We will then email your plans to you , once drawn , for your approval and verification.
4. Signing Contracts
Your customer service contact person will post out 2 copies of the Building Contract and you will need to provide the land and finance requirements set out in the quotation .
5. Colour Selections
We will contact you to arrange an appointment with one of our experienced Colour Consultants who will assist you in completing the colour selection documentation to enable us to lodge your plans to the relevant developer.
6. Plans submitted to Council
After approval by the developer your plans are then submitted to the relevant Council for approval.
7. Council Approval
After we receive council approval, we check the documents and arrange for the Principal Certifying Authority, who will be inspecting the works in progress and Issue a Construction Certificate.
8. Construction Begins
After the initial period set out in the contract, Construction of your new Kurmond Home will commence.
9. Completion and Handover
On completion of your new Kurmond Home we will arrange a handover inspection. When satisfied the final payment is made we then arrange handover of your new home.
Congratulations on your new Kurmond home.
