At Kurmond Homes we want your building experience to be enjoyable and stress free as possible. That’s why understanding the process is important. We have streamlined the process so you know what you can expect at each step of the design and pre-construction stage and be on the road to building your new Kurmond home one step at a time.

1. Tender Request

  • Initial deposit paid
  • Contour survey
  • Bore Hole report
  • Compliance assessment
  • Generate BASIX report
  • Preliminary plans and tender prepared

2. Tender Presentation And Building Agreement

  • Tender presentation and Tender Acceptance Fee paid
  • Introduction through our colour studio and Kurmond Homes Colour Product Guide issued
  • Final compliance checks
  • Agreement prepared
  • Pre-construction Service Agreement accepted and paid

3. Pre-Construction, Approvals & Colour Selections

  • Reports ordered where required for approvals – Bushfire, Acoustic, Flood, Dilapidation, Hydraulic Design, Landscaping (if applicable)
  • Allocated Customer Service Officer and Colour Consultant
  • External colour selections
  • Authority plans prepared
  • Developer approvals (if applicable)
  • Generate BASIX Certificate
  • Development Application (council) and CC (private certifer) or CDC (private certifier) lodged
  • Satisfy requirements for approvals
  • Waterboard approvals
  • Internal colours appointment
  • Electrical appointment
  • Tile appointment
  • External supplier appointments; alarms, airconditioning, other optional suppliers
  • Signing HIA Contract and balance of deposit paid
  • Final construction plans prepared
